Flow wrapping which is also known as fin seal wrapping and horizontal bagging, is the process of wrapping a product in a clear or printed polypropylene film, in the horizontal packaging process, the product is placed on the machine's flat chain conveyor and then conveyed to the sealing head horizontally, the heat-sealable film is then wrapped around the product, sealed and cut, all these processes are done automatically by the same machine, the result is a neatly installed, flexible center seal pillow pack with a strong and consistent horizontal back seal and top/bottom vertical seal. Flow packaging is often used for delicate products, single-serving items, palletized products, etc, this includes energy bars, sponges, ice cream bars, cleaning wipes, pastries, desserts, napkins, prepackaged plastic cutlery, flea collars, coffee filters, and more.
